เด็กหนุ่มคนหนึ่ง มีด้ายสีแดงที่ผูกมัดอยู่กับนิ้วก้อยมีความยาวที่ไม่มีวันที่สิ้นสุด มันยาวเข้าไปในกำแพงที่สูงชันมาก ด้วยความที่เขาต้องการรู้ว่าด้ายเส้นนี้มันยาวไปถึงไหน เขาเลยเดินตามด้ายแดง และก้าวแรกที่เขาเดินไป เขาได้เห็เรื่องราวของผู้หญิงคนหนึ่ง เขาได้เดินจับมือเดินคู่กัน เขารู้สึกที่มีความสุขมากๆ เพราะเขารู้ว่าเธอคนนี้คือคนที่เด็กหนุ่มคนี้ชอบมานานแล้ว แล้วด้ายแดงพาเขาไปเรื่อยๆ เรื่องราวก็ได้ดำเนินเรื่องไปด้วย มีทั้งตอนที่ทั้ง 2 เคยทะเลาะกัน หรือเรื่องราวที่ทำให้ทั้ง 2 คนต้องอยู่ห่างๆกัน หรือเรื่องที่มีความวุ่นวายในชีวิตของพวกเขา แต่เรื่องราวที่เขาพบเจอผ่านด้ายแดงมันทำให้เขาเห็นว่าเรื่องราวเธอคนนี้ได้เข้าใจเขามากขึ้น แล้วในที่สุด ด้ายแดงได้พาเขามาถึงจุดตรงกลาง เขาได้พบกับเธอ คนที่เขารัก ด้ายแดงได้พาความรักของทั้ง 2 คนได้พบกัน ทำให้เขาได้ตื่นจากฝันในที่สุด แล้วเขาก็ได้เข้าใจว่าผู้หญิงคนนี้ได้พาชีวิตของเขาให้ไปเจอในเรื่องราวที่ดี และเขาไม่คิดจะทิ้งเอไปตลอดกาล
